I’ve been thinking about Hillary lately. She’ll be 70 next year. She has reached the highest career levels and yet she still seems to be unsatisfied. Perhaps I might shed some light on the subject. Continue reading
Two of my 8 titanium screws, broke several months after the 1st surgery. I felt the 1st screw pop as I was carefully getting out of bed. I didn’t feel the 2nd screw break. My surgeon, Dr. Librodo, wanted to wait to decide whether a 2nd surgery was needed until the fusion (skin graft over the metal) was complete. Continue reading
My lower back fusion surgery was Feb.3 (Monday). I got out of the hospital @ noon on Thursday. In order to go home, I had to satisfy the Physical Therapy Nazis. I was in dizzying pain even with the meds but of course, I was determined to get home. With walker in hand, I had to walk to China, down a ramp, and into the PT room. I had to climb into a mock tub and sit on the shower chair. Then I had to get out. It might not seem like much but I assure you, it was. Then I had to walk up 4 steps and back down. THEN, I had to walk back to my room – from China!
Well, my lower back surgery is a week from today. I had to incomplete my current class. I completed all discussion boards, the team project, and 2/6 assignments. I just can’t sit up long enough to finish. The vertebrae are grinding on each other. I will be so relieved to lie on that operating table! I know I’m in for a long recovery but at least there will be spaces between the vertebrae.
Mother is taking the train out and will be here Friday until February 19. She just got back from the GC conference on Women’s Ordination. She spoke for the BookThursday morning devotional, which went very well. Her book is in the 1st 1/3 of the publishing process and we received the 1st 1/3 ($552) in donations! The book will be released in time for campmeeting.
I will try to keep you posted about both issues as I am able.
The publishing contract is signed and @ the publisher, TEACH Services, an Adventist publisher located near Chattanooga, TN. I also developed a new blog for the book, God’s Triumphant Love, Fall in Love with Jesus all over Again. The blog is to update readers about the book’s progress and for fundraising purposes. We have to pay for the publishing package of nearly $4000 and any advertising. We would like to work with the Adventist Review ($1000/issue) and other Jewish & Christian magazines & newsletters. If you would like to be a part of this opportunity, go to the ‘donate‘ page of the blog.
My parents were here for Thanksgiving. We had a great time! I hope you & your loved ones have a great Christmas & New Year!
I just finished editing the manuscript to Mother’s 1st book! I sent it to the publisher – TEACH Services. The book is titled “God’s Triumphant Love: Fall in Love with Jesus all Over Again!”
It’s is about the love relationship between God the Father, Jesus, and Lucifer; the fall, and God’s love for His children. The book is 12 chapters and includes a short appendix about Sanctuary Prayer.
I created a new blog for the book. Here’s the link: Carol’s New Blog

Before cell phones, the internet, TV, cars, or radios, there was Wild America. As some of you know, I’ve been doing a lot of reading on my Droid, free books 70+ yrs old. I have really enjoyed getting to know America – how it was not so very long ago.
