I’ve been thinking about the awesomeness of Christmas – the 1st Christmas, I mean. Think of it: a Deity comes to Earth and becomes a human. If heaven is anything like what it’s cracked up to be, would YOU leave? Would I leave? Duh, no! Especially if there’s a chance of not getting back. No way. Earth may look like a blue planet from a gazillion miles away but once you’re here – not so blue.
From my south bedroom window as I lie in bed, I can see southeast. This morning, I watched the sunrise for about 20 minutes. There is a little cloud cover interspersed with blue sky. Pinks, purples, reds, and orange – all reflecting off the clouds in waves for a minute or two, then greyness. In the next minute, another kaleidoscope of color! Continue reading
You know when you hear an old song, it takes you back to the place & time when you heard it? It’s that way with smells, too. Last night, I said goodbye to a tenant and gave him a hug. My eyes immediately began to well up with tears. He hugged me again because I guess he felt moved by my emotion.
I had the best time with my mother. She is 72 and drove by herself 1200 miles to see my brother, Eric and me. Mother & I haven’t always gotten along but we have worked hard over the years and it has really paid dividends. What a privilege to have such a rewarding relationship!
